Sophie is excited to serve as this year’s Head Coach. She is currently a sophomore at Mississippi State University studying Secondary Education. Sophie has been involved in swim team since she was six years old and has developed a strong passion for the sport.
She is a certified lifeguard and currently works as the supervisor of five community pools, where she oversees lifeguard staff and daily pool operations. Through this role, she has gained valuable leadership experience and enjoys mentoring young swimmers.
Sophie loves helping swimmers build confidence, improve their technique, and most importantly have fun in the water. She is looking forward to a great season and can’t wait to support the team’s growth and success this summer.
Naomi is excited to return as an Assistant Coach this season and looks forward to watching each swimmer grow and succeed. A current swimmer at Katy High School, Naomi discovered her passion for the sport through her own summer league experience. Over the years, she has supported emerging swimmers in the summer league setting, gaining valuable coaching experience.
This past year, Naomi further expanded her skills by teaching a Learn-to-Swim program at a local swim club, working closely with younger swimmers. She is also a certified Lifeguard through the American Red Cross. Known for her patience and gentle approach, Naomi connects naturally with swimmers and helps them build confidence, technique, and a love for the water. She can’t wait to cheer on the team and support their development throughout the season.
Kaitlyn is excited to coach again this year. Before joining the coaching staff in 2025 she was a dedicated senior swimmer volunteering her time helping our youngest swimmers, and anything else the coaching staff needed. She has been a dedicated member of the Willow Creek Wave Riders since the team’s founding in 2022 and before that swam with the West Memorial Tiger Sharks. Kaitlyn currently swims on a club team and Katy High School.
Kaitlyn began her swimming journey at the age of four in summer league and later transitioned to club swimming as her passion for the sport grew. She loves working with young swimmers, helping them build strong fundamentals and develop confidence in and out of the pool. She is known for her enthusiasm and commitment, Kaitlyn is devoted to supporting each swimmer’s personal growth and success.
She is looking forward to share her love of swimming and help every athlete make the most of their summer season!
In Kaitlyn’s spare time, she enjoys all things music, and serving on her church’s worship team. She is also a chorale member in the Katy High School Varsity ensemble.
This is Arianna’s second year coaching with WCWR. Swimming competitively in high school and starting her fourth year at WCWR, she has proven to be a great fit in terms of expectations and experience. First learned to swim through family, Arianna constantly found herself near a body of water and was later introduced to WCWR through friends. She loves working with the younger swimmers on the team, encouraging and guiding them in efforts to improve and have fun, and watching them become more confident in their new skills. Known for being positive and encouraging in stressful situations, she always does what’s needed in order to help the team. Arianna is excited to share another year at WCWR helping swimmers grow and have a great summer season!
